Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

Hi May I check with Senior who already married to a Vietnamese Partner,

Does age matter in a marriage in Vn.
My Gf is 30years my Junior
I know her when I was posted to HCMC for 3 years .

I intend to marry my Vietnamese Girl friend who I know for nearly 5 years.
we maintain a long distance relationship for 2 years after I stopped working in Vn.

What document must she notarised in Vietnam before we proceed to ROM.

Will she be required to go for medical check up in Singapore.

seeking brother advice and comments.

erhhh...ok,ok, i might have been a bit rude and uncouth in my previous posting and i apologise...but i have done quite some thinking on my part.

Quite true, why got high pay, with car and house. (Btw, me = Orphan, so can get HDB under Orphan Scheme.), still let his Ger go sell...
Think also like i stupid like this...

But really, need a lot of money to pay off 2 things.
1) This i also have to pay
2) That i also have to pay.

BX see me so hard, suggest working...but cannot....england no good, no one wan employ her...so have to sit and take tips from customer, without doing anything...touch touch only.

But now with me thinking hard...limit her to working only on fri and sat. until end of this year...when my This and That all settle out. So dont see me like man who pimp his wife out for money...i settle all her living expenses too and mine too...it just that she wan to help me out.

2 things i wan say.
First, i am sorry for all my previous previous post...very rude i know.
Second, if anyone has a job for a VB who cannot speak eng very well, and cannot speak chinese. As long as not those slave jobs, she will take it.

Thanks

No need to apologise. I merely confused as u let your ger works as WL and admired u, as rich with house n car.

In general, Age does matter if you mind ... Age does matter if u mind people looking at you at a different angle.

Rom in sg ? Need nothing. Marry in vn ... Yes , u will need to produce some documents.

In sg, Checkup ? Not required. In vn, yes for u.

How well one adapts to a foreign country depends on individual. 1 example is staff's attitude.

Like bro naemlo said .. it all well depends on you.

Food ... Cultures ... Thinking ... Concepts ... People ... Unorganised ... Selfishness ... Security ... What u think it is BUT it's not ... Traffic ... Pt to pt travel ... Unconveniency ... Kena "makan" when they think u are a foreigner ...

Some may have good experience ... May may not have ... It really depends on you ...

I guessed Bro Singviet is the best person for this advice ...

My feel .... 6 mths stay maybe enough if u travel and explore extensive ... But if u just hide in your bx place and not explore ... If u always travel to the same place ... If u do not interact with locals ... Stay 1 year also no use ..

I have been in and out for 3 yrs plus ... And I am still learning ... Every trip in is a new.learning experiences for me .. Everytime me on the road riding, I am learning the behaviour of the motorist and the people ...

Thanks for the advise, i get what you means.
i know everytime i go buy things i very high chance get makan.
but this is life, when foreigner comes to SG, also sometimes get quoted a slightly higher price. I guess just have to buy with common sense,

If relocating to a big country like vietnam, confirm must go explore the whole place and not hide in a place.

BTW i am flying to HCM next month on the 11th, any senior staying there needs something from singapore like small item i can bring over.
