My query is, can they understand the struggles of a middle class person living in an urban jungle? It's not a bed of roses but it's comfortable if expectations are well managed

many will not know what happened in singapore...they only knew singaporean money big and earn lots of money...so you need to set expectation from the beginning...make sure you dun let your gf be worst then their exisitng then ok....:)
