Btw are u PR or singaporean? Why ur bb hold VN passport? Thot default citizens liao?

Of course I am a Singaporean else how my bb got her SC ... PR's child cannot get SC is these case ... will only get similiar status as dad which is PR.

Yes .. althought SC liao BUT not necessary you must hold a Singapore Passport ... Unless I am bringing her tour ,then I consider making her a SG passport.

Initial My thinking is :

If my BB holds SG passport, then when she goes back to VN , she is just like another visitor visiting Vn, can't stay long UNLESS go do a VN version LTVP for bb .... if hold a VN passport, come SG can't stay long as she is just like a normal visitor to SG ...

However, ICA told me there is a way to over come this ...

1. Hold 2 Passport - 1 VN & 1 SG ... :

Dep VN - Use VN Passport
Arr SG - Use SG Passport
Dep SG - Use back SG Passport
Arr VN - Use back VN Passport

2. Hold VN passport, no problem ... COZ she is a SC.. her Passport is specially CHOPPED with a Right of Entry Stamp with a validity of 21 years. The only troublesome part is every time she changes passport, she got to go ICA and choppped the stamp again.

My baby is borned in VN, and to come SG initially , she must make a passport ... making a SG passport is troubesome as my bb needs to go to the consulate and we dun stay at HCMC ... furthermore duration is abit longer and it costs more..

With the correct advice ... I choose to make VN passport for my bb ... until now NO problem ... on both side ...

The only stupid problem is at the airline checking in counter ..

1. My wife needs to produce her LTVP when flying out of VN to proof her status. Previously when she got no LTVP, KNS , need to show Marriage Certificate else she dun allows her to fly ..

2. formy BB, need to show the SC to the airlines. If no bring SC, I show them the SG chop and they take a while to say ok coz i guessed they never see it before.

Not only can they hold 2 passport .. they are allowed to hold DUAL Citizenship too ...

But then got to choose whether you want to keep SC by 21 yrs old.

In SG, a child can have 2 passports but when he/she reaches 21, he/she needs to decide which passport to keep.

When there is money involves, there will be conflict. This happens between good friends, parents and kids and so on.

It is no surprise siblings are giving problem to WL, even their far distance relatives will give them trouble.

I remember my virgin trip to HCMC more than 10 yrs ago. A dunno what relative wanted to drink beer and I had to pay for it. :rolleyes: Give me motor ride back, also demanded money from me.
