Greetings Bros.

I have been hovering ard this thread for sometime....ever since i start cheonging the Joo Chiat scene....At that time i was just reading and telling myself "nah this kind of things wuldnt happen to me" hahaha....but i was wrong....

Recently i met this Viet @ JC...well 1 thing led to the other and then she is back at Viet now...Frankly i reali like her....she oso ask me to go visit her parents...i hv intention to go....i even booked my leaves etc...but then when ever i do long distance calls to her....we hv com prob....she speak little english....we do understand each other alittle bit.

she oways tell me that her family need $$ and she told me her family need to renovate the house (if i interprete her correctly). she got no choice but to start working in viet KTV...i duno wat to say...i have advice her to try workin as salesgal etc... but she say she dun speak good english and dun pay tt well...now i m reali very lost....seriously i dun hv the financal ability to support her now....i wan to marry her bt i reali cant support her....deep down i have a feelin that i may lose the chance and regret wat had happened bt to live in singapore is totalli too stressful for onli 1 breadwinner

There was once i saw a couple which i think the wife is a viet and they have a baby....i was thinking to myself....why i cant do wat the man had did??

mayb bcoz wat a bro mention here which is quite true

1. language barrier
2. not enough knowledge of their partner's culture
3. not being sensitive enough
4. too bothered with other's views

bt also to add...it may oso due to my financal ability now....

but i like to share my views....you all agree that viet love their husbands....take care of them....YES i totally agree.....i think the reason behind this is becoz they come frm a tough family background...they know that their children need to have a proper education inorder to make it in life....no like sg gals now who onli know about make it in life themselves and nver care abt their children if they have....

To Bro Kangtao...i may help u if u need a viet who is workin as a certified translator in singapore....

well Bros out there....if you find the rite 1 be it viet or sg or any other nationals....and everythings is rite and you feel rite and go for it........

Hmm...all I want to say and can say is that good luck to you....:(

But since that you can even "hahaha" I guess you deserve it....

Just few advices for you, she can say all she want...how poor..how much she need money...but bear in mind that you may not be the only person she telling her story to...Asking you to meet her parents is nothing...although in Viet culture meet parents mean something important but I guess not in the dictionary of Viet Working Gal...:(

Since you have said that you have been reading alot in this thread...I believe you have also read other thread about viet & JC...there is more than enough story for you to read and wake yourself up...

But end of the day...the main actor yourself...will refuse to hear any advice...and always think that your own case is different....for eg she really love you etc....

Only the day when you get bite...then you will wake up....

I agree with Bro Sha Gua. If you have taken time to read all the vietnamese thread here, you will realise that the stories and tricks taken up by these viet gals are similiar. On most instances, they also offer to let the singaporean man meet their parents to gain trust. For a Viet WL, meeting the parents is no big deal and is always work out nicely with their parents. For the sake of money, the whole family is willing to cooperate (as she may the only one feeding the whole family).

But there are also WL that have been thru bad times and realised the laziness of their family. But these ladies are difficult to find. But if you can find one, she can become a very good wife.
