It happens to a friend of mine as well. His wife got 1 year LTVP recently after several times of 3 mths chop of LTVP. She went to work as a cleaner in a restourant and apply for WP but kenna rejected. Seem to be related to the husband who now stop working for 3 mths due to accident occur when he was a taxi driver before.

LTVP cant apply for work permit mah, esp if she viet. Viet are not in the MOM NTS list.
Slowly wait to upgrade to LTVP+, then go work ba..

I pity the couple but this is facts of life. Only the fittest will survive. The Vietnmese wife in this case cannot work in Singapore to support husband.

The husband being a Singapore Citizen can approach various help namely Com Care by approaching his MP, CDC Financial Assistance and employment assistance, Hospital Welfare Assistance, Nursing Home Welfare Assistance for Physiotherapy, Clans and Temple Association for assistance.

As for the VB, the husband can seek MP help to apply LTVP under special medical and nursing health so that she can live and work part time in Singapore. This case requires the MP not just write to ICA and/or MOM but also have a chat with the Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs and Seniors Minister of State for MOM to consider this case in merit. It will take some time to get all these approved and many visits to MP meet the people session for appeal. Really depends on his MP willingness and resourcefulness to help him.

The above is just my advice. All the financial assistance and employment assistance is approved based on case to case and merit. No guarantee any of them will be approved. Nothing to lose and worth a try.

If she has only a LTVP ... She can apply for a Work Permit .... Once approved , her LTVP will be cancelled and she will hold the WP instead.

Vice versa, once WP expired or whatsoever, she will need to re-apply for LTVP ...

Note:

Anyway for ALL your info .. There is no such application for LTVP+ ... There is only 1 type of application which is LTVP ... You will only know the results of your placement during the card collection.

And so yesterday i met this vb beer promoter for Dester... She said her company can be guarantor or some thing like tat and apply for work permit for her... She is a divorcee and surely cannot apply for LTVP or whatsoever... So there maybe special case ?



Ya... I also tell her husband try getting MP help & persistent... but then MP must willing to help in first place... I would suck so much if it happens to me just like some old people say "cry no tears"

There are no special case for this VB who is not married to a Singaporean. Her WP will never be approved.

Now I am confused?? The VB is the same person and now you mentioned she is a divorcee.

You are wasting my time replying to you. Anyway this is a forum and you hiding such important facts.

Who will believe that as she already divorced with the husband and you mentioned that she will work in Singapore to take care of him?
