if u r in hangzhou, must go xihu( better go at night) and enjoy the night scene. remember to take motor boat ride or some old sampan to go over the opposite island for tour. not so expensive and price is fix.

also need to eat the famous resturant up in xihu, you need to take taxi in otherwise you had to walk like 15-20 minutes. in the resturant you can see many VIP pictures dinning at the resturant. price not expensive, well depending what u order also.
recommended fish, xihu vinegar fish, xihu veg, dongpo meat. sorry i forget the name of the resturant, just ask the hotel staff, bet most will know.

play safe bro and remember to note the police hotline. which you can see many signboard along the hangzhou road. these policeman are generally good service oriented if u can speak mandarin and foreigner too. be humble and nice.

Just to add on, alternatively one can tour in Shanghai and still take a train to this beautiful XiHu.

what do u mean exactly by xihu night scene? is there anything to see at night in xihu?

because i once went around evening time, n u know in autumn at abt 7.30pm it was already quite dark and i could not see anything.

but looks like the bros here agree with me, visit Hangzhou for beautiful xihu n not the ktvs haha :)

So this thread has become Xihu thread... :-) But Xihu has always been pictureous, specially in late fall when the fog descended on the hill...

Planning to go there for a few days this week to avoid Beijing security clam down.

I remembered the club scene in Hangzhou in not that bad a few years back.. Has thing change to the worst now ??? I will explore the club scene and post some FR. Any lao jiao here willing to give tips ?

yes it is the biggest now but not anyone could go in. they only attend to members and the cheapest membership fee is 50-60k rmb
members can bring their friends in though.

but they have different types of membership, the 50-60k rmb type can only have access to lvl 1, 2 (and 3 i think). level 4 5 6 will require the price of a bmw or benz.
