i always wonder how to survive with $3-4mil vn in high cost of living hcmc ... have to be very thrifty .. and barely enough for 1 person.

My girl spend 6k taking bus to her mother drink stall. (12k both way. Bus number 64)

Skip breakfast
Lunch mother cook.
She ate dinner with drink. 30k.

Rental 1.2m

So poor thing..... she love sushi and pizza; so when I am around I bring her eat at Sushi Bar and Ichiban Sushi.:D

IMHO...Honda SH 150 cost around US$8000...not sure where you get your figure...a few samster here bought them a few years ago...:)

not comparing lah... just wondering what you see in vn that make you plan of retiring there.
For me, i am working towards retiring in my home country comfortably.. be it that i need to work till 65

When I reach 65 I will get monthly Cpf life pay out about $1100 per month. with this $1100 and after counting inflation the money is only worth may be $650 in present term so how to retire in Sillypore ? May consider retiring in VN after exchange rate is 17.6 million dong @16000 per sgd. 17 mill per month can live comfortably in the province. :p:D

P/s hopefully the pap government don't change the Cpf rule again.

if OA + SA can have ard $300k by 55, maybe by then can withdraw $100k from CPF.

Like I mentioned many times...I love Vietnam and been to many cities over the past few years...plenty of nice places outside of hcm...to me Vietnam is beautiful...:)

I dun want to work till 65 years old like you...think I can live comfortably in Vietnam though...:)

I only travel to vn less than 30 times. Staying there as tourist, the longest is 2 weeks stay in hcm, staying in province longest is 1 week. I find the place hosile... visiting once awhile is good but not for long term stay.

yes.. hostile.

1) i am not able to walk on the street feeling as safe as in sillypore.
2) environment not as clean.. unless in PMH which i won't be able to afford.
