New blood..... So old man like me can retire.
Newbie should read first 500 pages before spill their story. As their story will be the same........ Meet a lady (work in ktv, bars, Geylang coffee shop etc) Go fuck one or a few times. Think they found true love. Never ending money request. Same old story of father sick, mother sick, brother accidents, sister cannot study. Came here asking for advice. Become angry, thinking we trying to break the love birds apart. Few months later start to see who is helping them. :D Quote:

2 types go hospital in Vietnam... Private hospital - posh luxury specialise in some medical treatment...and meant for rich and foreigners who can afford to pay...doctors are foreign trained or affiliated...heard some Singapore and foreign doctors fly there bi-weekly to meet patients...:) Gahmen hospital - also specialized in some area...not all are general hospital...but is cheap and fully subsidized...but places are cramped and full of patients...each patient may have to share bed with another patient...patients expected to have one or more relatives to be present to help out in the hospital if warded...the relatives who cannot afford to rent a bed or room nearby will sleep on the corridors or staircases...the hospital is crowded and smell bad...doctors and nurses are over-worked here...if anyone want to jump queue for any services then need to bribe doctor and nurse with lixi...:) The above are just my observations and experiences...not here to upset anyone...pls skip if you dun like to read...:) |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
Went and do charity at a local hospital with H88 and a few friends.
Saw the condition of the place..... Due to shortage of bed, some families just sleep on the corridor. Kids carrying babies, old folks, sick patient. Really bad living condition. Majority are born and brought up in tough living condition. So for sinkees whom are born and brought up in Singapore surely got no match for vbs. And a lot of Viet men hammer their wives. Sinkees will find it hard to do...... I try it on a few vbs..... Slapping their thigh until red and some even cry....... I notice most love me more after slapping them...... I slap my current girl on her thigh and tears star flowing down........ And 5 minutes later she is hugging me and say "em thuong anh". |

I think i am the rare few Singaporeans that had surgery in Vietnam. Around 5 years ago, i had my spinal surgery at Franco-Vietnamese Hospital at Q7, Phu My Hung. Its a private hospital set up by the French. Although French in nature, most doctors there are actually Vietnamese, but with a post graduate diploma from Paris. Whole hospital is air-conditioned and its clean . I was operated by one of the rare few Neurosurgeon in Vietnam (heard there's a only a few neurosurgeon) , stayed in single room for 10 days before i was discharged (i requested for it) and was transported back to Singapore on a wheelchair + stretcher. My spinal surgery was complicated and it lasted for around 8 hours. Total cost was around US$10k. Still relatively much cheaper than Singapore. My follow-up Specialist neurosurgeon in Singapore told me that it could have cost me around S$100k for the same procedure and service in Singapore. |

A good reason to retire in HCM.
Already set up a retirement spot in Johor near Peter Lim Vantage medical hub. May set up another retirement spot in HCM. Medical cost in Singapore is a killer. I wonder is it worthwhile to do medical and dental checkup in HCM? Quote:
