Dont think that a requirement under the law. But sometimes ICA do ask the viet gal to show some money. This is to prove that they really come Singapore for holiday and not to work. 500 usd is consider less already if ICA start to breakdown the tourist's daily expenses....500 usd is around 720 Sing Dollar...everyday spend $50 SGD...14 days will use up all roi...This havent count in lodging...spending at attractions....travel expenses... :o

So 500 USD to get 1 mth is quite hard if ICA start to reason out in this way

This topic has been discussed thousands of times in this forum roi. Who is correct and who is wrong, no one knows. I just know that there are still lots of vietnamese gals in JC and there are still weekly raids by anti vice :D

That is true, heard from my gal, 2 of her friends being caught at Orchard Tower just for waiting cab there 2 nights ago. They need to report to the ICA on Monday morning.:(
