I seriously doubt they are proud to be single mum. No parent in this world will like their daughter to have kid without marriage or worst dunno who is the daddy.... The pressure from parents, family, relatives, peers, society..... how will the single mum be proud? :confused:

Not really; many of their parents still thought that Taiwan is a good country where their daughters will be happy but many vb had secretly fly back to vn after marriage due to several reasons. I don't think the vb don't want to come to Singapore with you. Are you going to marry her? Have you seen her parents yet? To her parents; are you able to give them a big dowry in terms of $$$? Most parents are selling their daughters rather than wanted their daughter to have a blissful marriage. They thought that marrying a foreigner; they could come out from poverty.

Haizzzz...maybe I should not use "proud"...I had met so many single mother in Vietnam...they are happily living and not shy to tell us that they hv a kid....:)

Some hv kid since 18 yrs old and by 21 yrs old still very attractive...my fb alone has plenty...:)

I don't know.....If your vb love you; she will help you. She will talk to her parents. Some need only minimal amount of dowry but some asking a lot. My friend just gave abt S$10K for everything including of Jewellery; wedding photos; 40 wedding tables and Karaoke session. Hong bao; he had collected back about S$6K but gave his parent in law $5K.

40 Tables = est $6400
Karaoke = est 600
Photo = est $1000
Jewellery = est $4000
Total = $11K - Hong Bao $6K give parent in law $5K so S$10K.

My friend wedding was quite lavish to me. $10 to my friend consider is a small $.
