hi all, which bank do you recommend to open in HCMC ? I'm just travelling there often and sometimes I end up with not enough vn dong and I need to withdraw cash with all the charges it's not worth it.

One of my friend have an account with Standard Chartered in HCMC because he's comfortable with the front desk speaking english.

I used to have Vietcombank account...but hardly use it...maintaining a bank account in Vietnam needs to pay monthly fees...also each transaction fees...deposit money also charge 15k per transaction...:)

I dunno about current bank policy, maybe they changed? I had USD and VND accounts. My VND account came with interests, no maintenance and whatever fee. My USD same as VND account but zero interests. Both account could be access via online. SCB can use ACB atm to withdraw money.
