Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
Actually, after having read this post for quite a long time, I've decided to voice out my situation so that I may get some feedback from the expert bros here. Some time last year, around 4 months back, I met this Vietnamese girl on one of my business outings to a KTV in KL. One thing led to another, as they usually do, and she somehow ended up at my place very frequently. It's sort of easy to communicate with her since she speaks quite decent mandarin (she's been a WL in KL for a year now) and I've been teaching her English.
I've made friends with her friends, even met her 'agent' as well as become buddies with her 'driver', the dude that sends them to work, bookings, etc. Her driver's ba xa is her best friend, and he's told me about overhearing them talk about me.
Now this young lady has another regular client who's been chasing after her like a rabid dog for the last almost 1 year. Her driver told me that this dude has oodles of money, of course, but the problem is that she has no feelings for him, but likes me a lot. When I heard that, of course I was kind of sad. She's a WL, of course and needs the money. I haven't given her much of anything for the last 2 months, and when I do, she usually hides it somewhere back in my house before she leaves. In fact, she's even lecturing me about my spending habits as she finds a lot of things I do wasteful. She practically spends 4 days a week at least at my place. She cooks, she cleans, actually, it's pretty amazing.
I did tell her before, that since that guy is able to take good care of her, why not she just get hitched with him permanently. That upset her quite a bit, and I admit, I did get a tight slap from her (yes, it hurt!). She said that if it was just the money problem, she would have dumped me long ago. But the problem is that she wants to be with someone she loves in the long run.
I'm not too sure of the situation I'm in right now, but I would like to hear some opinions on the 'VN experts' here, just to see what turns up.. sorry for being so long winded, but it's a really complicated story. I'm currently in Vegas for work, so can write this without her finding out.
