Thanks bro the ID is not working already and the place nowhere to be seen on dianping.. visited a couple of nearby places but all smelled of scams and membership cards

There are still some places although they push for membership cards, but you can still go in as a pay per use rate. I do sign up as some places are pretty good, especially during the winter period where you want to soak in hot bath and relax.
I do visit one located at putuo area (光新路／延长西路）. Not really easy to get to unless you get a taxi.

well being in shanghai for aruond 4 years plus.

there are some FL around, rate around 800-3k depends on the quality.
there are some massage places which offer HJ, look at dianping and check the price, usually its 398 , 598 etc....

and also use cash :)
