Hi Bro, the question that you have ask on whether is there anyway where you can do amulet certification, well the answer is no, the only certificate that is being awarded is only through all the minor and major amulet competition held in BKK. As for value wise due to the reason of having a cert doesn't make any difference. As Amulet market in BKK is all depends on the trader controlling the market and they command the prices cause they are the one who said what will be the upcoming trend. It is just like stock market, if you really want to go for value amulets, go for the blue chip amulet which i would recommend but they command high price when you rent it, but it also command high price when you let go, for example like Somdej Wat ketchichaiyo, conserated by Somdej Toh, Chinnaraj Indochine from Wat Suthat, LP Ngern Wat Bang klang etc.. these 3 which i mentioned is considered the blue chips, even no cert, amulet trader will know how to see would offer to buy it from you. Cheers!

Thanks bro for such an informative reply.....that means I just have to take the trader's word for it. Me just worried about ending up paying more than its worth, worst still getting a fake lemon. & its not easy to bring an amulet that I interested to get a 2nd opinion rite? :o

JTK only recent, I doubt there is an ancient JTK.

Hmm... there is (not really consider ancient...) the 1st one is the 'stamp collection' and the red clay 'buddaha'... made in 2529 - 2530 ;)

Hi Bro Saddleup, I hope the fortune teller lady didn't not con her way out to you to make you pay a sum of money just for the consulation charges in telling your fortune and so called giving you a amulet which is called a Somdej which she told you has a history of 5 centuries. To my knowledge, Somdej was only created somewhere back only a century plus ago by Somdej PhraBuddhacharnToh Promrangsi of Wat Rakang. Yes there is amulet being created somewhere 4 centuries but it is Phra Rod, Phra Krong, Phra Somkor etc.. Sukothai and Phra Chai during Ayuthuya period but not Somdej.

Secondly, She told you she can get you a JTK for $500, maybe you would like to ask her which temple the JTK is she getting for you and of which year, conserated by who? So far all JTK in BKK are going for maybe 400baht per piece and maybe 1800 baht i quote the most expensive for a set but not SIN$500 per piece. So far the most expensive JTK commanding in BKK and Singapore is JTK conserated by Acharn KhunPan in 2530 which is commanding at 80000 to 100000Baht. And JTK trend started only recently, and the 1st piece of JTK is conserated by Archarn Khunpan, at the moment, other than his, JTK Wat KoHong is commanding a good price. Hope you can get all sort out with your fortune teller and also you have not forsake the $500 yet. Cheers!

Thanks bro for the solid info. But it's not the thai lady that told me my somdej is 500 yrs old. Its a monk at the bedok thai temple. Any way, I told her not to bring for me the $500 JTK. Haha
