why bother to take BTS. Juz hope onto a taxi is the simplest.

Hopping into taxi maybe simplest, but crowded MBK/PP area has traffic crawling most of day. So you could be frus waiting for, or in cab. BTS is painless and MRT switch for outlying places like Ratchada is a quick option. Then taxi or motor sai to your destination if not within walking distance. :D

Errr......... sorry for not being specific.
I am directing from PP.
think quite troublesome to take BTS to/from PP←→Sukhumvit/Ratchada.
anyway, "loot tip" is a norm in BKK.

You are not wrong, PP-->Ratchada via Asoke MRT is bit lecheh. Yo, what traffic we have here back home is child's play in krung thep. When's your rtf visit? Mine's from next fri 4/5 ("planned" stopover enroute for some working trip) hehehe:p

Err yeah i agree sometimes the traffic is really horendous ( i got stucked for 45min for a dist of 200m only) ... but its true for developing country like india (which im now in) and the rest of 3rd world country

as for the distance 30 mins of travelling will be too long liao thinking 15min of travelling (cos to and fro will be 30mins liao)

i think its matter of timing i used to stay in asia hotel and shangrila before... asia hotel supposed to be gal friendly but i was stopped once and asked to pay for extras (cos that time was 2am) ... whereas shangrila was supposed to be non-gal friendly but i managed to sneak in a gal before (but that was 7pm) so i think its more of hows the gal dressing and time of entry

thinking of going for 1 MP (while my colleague shopping in MBK) then later at nite then sneak out to CM2 to da bao one back (is it at siam sq novotel?) .. (supposed to stay there but since my director decided to send someone to help me my loging budget cos slashed in 1/2 ...arrch... but also good lah do less work hahaha)

lastly i will be there from 1st May (May Labor Day) till sat 5th May... any lao jiao here will be in Bkk during that period can jio me to Nana or not... havent been there before and i scare to go alone.

>shang not gal friendly. I am surprised. but i may be wrong cos neber stayed there. tot all 5 star shld be gal friendly.

>time of entry is important cos most excercise the "curfew" after 10pm.

>Yes, CM2 is in Siam Sq Novotel. If u r always staying in Novotel, why not sign up accor card. sure worthwhile one.

>sorry to be blunt hor. altimately u r going to show yr ballz n put yr dicky to bonk, why scare to go alone?!?!??!

taking trains and taxis are fine. but lots of adventures happen when u stop and alight about 50m before or after your destination.....got to know a lot of folks that way...and had a lot of fun too. you guys should try going to chiang mai and chiang rai for the songkran, go and play the water fights and u will be surprised by the chicks u pick up in the day and bonk in the night.*laugh*

for those who have not tasted fresh coconut milk, please dont comment about fresh coconut milk...so says the thai farmer proverb

Swakookoo,

Even though Pratunam is not girl friendly, they have excellent restaurants. Also, more important is that the hotel is the best place to take a dump while shopping at MBK. Just imagine, you have to go to toilet to take a dump while shopping at MBK! Where would you go, would you go back to your hotel and waste precious time and money or go to a nice hotel with clean modern restroom? MBk has old, stinky and without toilet paper restrooms! Several times during my shopping at MBK, I almost had accidents but thank goodness for Pratunam Hotel.

I just came back from a 5D4N stay at Prathuman Princess Hotel. Try out their traditional Thai massage by a young lady ... paid THB1900 for this 60mins massage ... so-so nia ... and sad to say the hotel does not provide watever special service you wanted according to one of the male hotel staff I asked. This is to preserve their 5-star rating image I guess ...
