The property heat is coming off and the prices are coming down. Soon, there will be a lot of property speculators jumping off buildings. A lot of so called rich vietnamese made money thru properties and stocks. But too bad, both are not making money now.

I think you should wait for another year first, because my case is same as you. When i'm getting married, my wife is 20 years old too. But the troublesome part is the ROM, any gals below the age of 21, must have their Guardian or Parents consent, and they must be present. Unless you wanted to buy air tickets for their whole family to come over, otherwise you must think twice, i can confirm with you that your gf would want her parents, and her siblings to come over if you are ok that their family to come over, not confirm because they wanted you to sponsor their tour but she wanted to be happy in her wedd. But if your Financials supports you, so maybe you can consider that..

I agreed with you, once they are married to Foreigner, they ought to show off, especially if their spouse is rich, they tend to show off by giving big Hong Baos, building a big House etc.. and lots and lots more, I bet a lot of Singapore Guys who have Viet Gals, the gals confirm got buy the Eagle Brand medicated oil, some even more exagerated items like TV, DVD, handphones and .... etc.. I also cannot remember how much things i bought for them also. But after all these things, i learn a new thing, never disclose your income, as I'm doing my own business, so income is never confirm, so always disclose a portion only is they happens to ask, how businesses? And only disclose the amount that is sufficient for the whole month expenses and definately not more than that, otherwise it spells trouble.

I have been to my wife's family place two times already. They really think you are a big boss, and be prepared to bust out your pockets. Never always say YES to their request of helping their family in regards to monetary means, it depends on situation. I also reject a couple of times before to help her family, it needs time and effort (more headache than working) to make them understand.. Helping them in terms of Financials in a never ending hole. So think wise before commiting to the promise given.. Once give promise, dun try to break it..

I also kanna buy Eagle Brand medicated oil, some more must buy in singapore, cannot buy in vietnam, those brought in vietnam r considered imitation.

I also kanna pestered to buy latest hp, but i turn down. MOst of viet gals will want u to buy jewellry for them to show off, bro did u encountered?:)

hahaha, The Eagle Brand medicated oil is like their lifeline when they take buses or cars. Before the buses move off, almost everyone will have a bottle of medicated oil on hand and start rubbing the oil on their nose, forhead etc. Buying a dozen to two dozen of these medicated oil from singapore is very normal. For handphones, the prices of handphones in VN used to be around 30% to 50% higher than singapore. But after WTO, the price is around the same. As for jewellery, gold and diamonds are hot favourite. But why buy for them now, only buy gold for them when really confirmed getting married.

This eagle band medicated oil is very expensive, i ever buy few dozen much cheaper axe oil as substitiute to this band, but ended up kena f--- left right centre. :cool:
