Well, not me in this case but shared the similar query with 69ASIMO69.
I have tot about that but then again, the ICA may not buy the story as I can applied to ROM with her and yet we dun turn up for the solemnisation. Possible rite?

Not to worry ICA will buy your story for the first time and give your potential wife an extension. If you are not able to submit your marriage certificate when requested, then you have to bid goodbye to her.

ICA is not in existence a few days ago -- they have been in this 'business' for donkey years so better don't play play. Whatever game you want to play with them, the chance of wining them is almost zero. :)

Re: English/Chinese,etc to Vietnamese word translation

Well, sometimes the translation is correct but at other times, it is not translated in correct way. The short sentences will score correctly most of times than the long sentences. This website needs more improvement for accurate translation.

VDict.com - Vietnamese Dictionary and Translation - T? ?i?n và d?ch ti?ng Vi?t

Basically it is a dictionary and most importantly a language translation tools from various languages, even Chinese to Vietnamese.

Will be helpful for bros doing the sms with thier newly found beau. :p

** Click on the translation tab and punch in your written language in white box and hit Translate.

Too bad there's no voice pronociation, but it's free anyway.

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

It is almost impossible for Vietnamese women to leave Vietnam without any return air ticket. I faced the same situation with my wife last time. In my case, we already registered marriage with ROM in Singapore and then flew to Saigon for our wedding ceremony and honeymoon. On the day of departure to Singapore, we proceeded to the ticket counter at Tan Son Nhat International Terminal and the ticket officer there told my wife that unless she have a return air ticket, she will not get the board pass at all. We had no choice but to buy return air ticket at the ticket sale counter nearby. We just chose the cheapest ticket within 1 month and my wife was allowed to leave Vietnam. It is advisable to buy return air ticket and the total cost is relatively cheap. ;)

Bros here.... Need an advice...

I going HCM on the at the end of the month and my galfriend is coming back with me. This time round we may be getting married so I wont know when she will be going back. Can I just buy a one way ticket for her to come Singapore with me? As budget for 1 month only.... Definately she will be staying for more than 1 month. Will the custom refuse the entry as she only has a one way ticket here? Please advised.... Thanks for the help..... Is it a must for travellers to have a return ticket?

Yes, i agree with you totally. Vietnamese are not allowed to board the plane to leave for overseas with a ONE WAY ticket unless they show evidence that they have the permission to stay in that country for the longer term. As for leaving for Singapore, they must show either WORK PERMIT / SP / EP/ Student Pass / LTSVP or PR, if they cannot show any of these, a return ticket must be shown. :D

Shouldnt have problem if u keep a photocopy of your ROM cert...tried that b4

At that time, I forgot to bring a photocopy of ROM certificate for evidence to ticket officers. Anyway, we can also show the green permit pass and also the permit chomp on Vietnamese passport to ticket officers. This is only available if your Vietnamese wife is Singapore PR. My wife got Singapore PR after waiting for 3 months only. Either ROM certificate or permit pass will save the trouble of buying the return air ticket. :D

This thread is very interesting to read. Good to learn more information from all bros here.

Ok, I have 1 question here. It goes like this. A man have a Vietnamese wife already and they are residing in Singapore, While he is married, he has a Vietnamese girlfriend who is studying in Singapore. Do you think that it is a good idea for that man to continue relationship with his girlfriend when both women are living in Singapore? His girlfriend come from a well-to-do family living in Saigon and her parents send her S$1500 monthly for living expenses here. Any bro here have this similiar situation?

Yeah Bro, at least it is changing bit by bit but still not good enough, anyone to advise me..

In fact, quite a few things is made with her decision, but of course not on work wise..

So how would you do and how to control, and to what extend?

I do not want to over-exerted or to the extreme..

What should be controlled and what cannot ce controlled?
