Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
Saw this thread a bit late.
My wife also a Viet. She is 25 this year. I just upgrade to father status after 1 year. Life is not easy after marriage. There are 3 barriers which I can conclude: 1: Language 2. Culture 3. Personality Its normal when couples quarrel and fight but give in and make peace in the end. I regretted married her when our relationship is bad but thought of the sweet moments we had just forget and let out your unhappiness elsewhere. Eventually she got her PR and settled down as a good wife in Singapore. Good if you find a good one, if not god bless you if you pick a rotten apple. True enough a lot of things to teach her above the life in Singapore. One word for those having a potiential viet life partner, be "PATIENT". Your partner left her home country and start everything new in Singapore. Wondering what her life will be and a lot of uncertainties. It will be good she had friends married here, so its easier to mix around and learnt from big sisters. My frequent trip with her on weekends to visit her friends also made me know a few bros with the same fate. In fact we still go CHEONG together. Vaild excuse. I dun give allowance for her to send back to Vietnam. We agreed to save and start our own biz and buy a house in Viet. So make sure you work out some plans for your wife to work towards it. So much for my contribution. Cheeros.:) |
