Dear bros,

I'm currently based in Shanghai. I've been working and living here for almost 2.5 years and I'm rather sick of this place liao.

I'm thinking of returning to Singapore to work but hoping to find a job that requires regular travelling to China.

Any bros have such lobang to recommend?

Cheers,
Shanghai Papa

PS: Any bros visiting Shanghai is most welcome to PM me to cheong together.

Hey Bros -

In going for interview next week for a job based in Shanghai...hope to meet up with some of you if ever got the chance.

Life is funny that someone wants to go, whereas there will also be someone that wants to come back...guess another man's poison.

Dear bro KongLong69,

Well, I've been working in Shanghai for more than 2 years and I've kinda seen enough of it liao. I don't wanna immerse myself too long in the China working culture here cos I'll become very unproductive! Trust me - you'll know what I mean after working for a period of time with the local China people - you'll go NUTS!

Anyway, all the best for your interview next week. If you do come to Shanghai, feel free to contact me or any of the nice bros based in Shanghai.

Cheers,
Shanghai Papa

I second to that. One will be astounded by the standard and “orthodox” way of working. Thrown in with the additional tax and banking regulations, you’ll wish that you never came here in the first place.

Hi Bros,

Me not in sales. Has been stucked in a small City in Shandong for almost a year.

If those bros based in SH has anything to complain, I would say I regreted the moment I had my 1st official dinner in SD! The fking drinking culture really puts me off! They are not eating....after all the formalities,i.e. seating arrrangement, talking cock and tossing, I already drunk and wake up 2am feeling hungry.

Anyway 1 plus point, being in China needs no visa from ministry of home affair when going to CP:D
Cheers

For me,l I have been working in Guangdong for more than 2 years... Then I decided to go back to Singapore like you.. Then comes the interviews... Once the company see the China experience, they straightaway asked if you are keen to posted to their subsidaries in China..

And since you are sick of China, you said not really interested, then they frown upon you.. This kind of experience is still hard to come by... So now, I am working in a company that requires me to travel around the region with a substantial time in Singapore..

I still make use of my experience to land the job and "home visit" every month..Best of both worlds...

I have to agree.. China cannot stay too long, either you go nuts, or you become super horny... :D

Not really, GP (general practisional) is more appropriate! look after the operation of a small company. Have to deal with local authorities, sian...

Think Yellow wine is for women...after birth. Not so strong.

At least you are based in the most "civilised" city of China. Me here still have people spit on the restaurent floor right infront of you, and Lim Chu Kang kampong style toilet...KNN.

Dear bro Ronaldo,

That's why I prefer to find work in Singapore that requires regular travelling to China. That way, I can maintain my productivity and still keep in touch of my regular China contacts - the best of both worlds! :p

Cheers,
Shanghai Papa
