U can just apply if cant get then wait another 6 mth to apply. I never apply LTSVP for my wife at all. Today ROM tmr I am at ICA apply for PR :)

Aiyoh bro, the gal u marry different wat, educated viet gal and plus your occupation also stable wat. I applied for LTSVP and PR for my wife on the same day.. (if i didn't remember wrongly as it was seriously quite sometime back) and it took around 3 1/2 mths to get approval for PR. LTSVP got approved in 24 hrs. As for citizenship for my wife, approval was around 2 1/2 mths, quite fast also :D

Annual Tax returns of $60K seems quite alright for application for PR for your wife, but there are several other factors that ICA considers, some of which also relating to your wife.

my point is apply PR dont need to have the criteria that u need to have LTSVP...becos seem a few brothers here ask such question before....LTSVP doesnt have any bearing on this.

What i am trying to tell Bro KT is that what can be worse than kanna reject again and again. Since there is nothing can be done. Never try = 0%. Keep trying may be 0% or successful. No one really know how ICA works, most of us based on hear say or by experience and ICA's policy keep changing. Even if someone from ICA say this today...maybe next mth change again. If lucky maybe he can success by constant appealing? If fail then fail lor, cant get any worse

i think most brother's wives need the LTSVP. After ROM, it doesn't ensure that their viet spouse can stay in Singapore. PR takes 3 to 6 months for approval, if never apply for LTSVP, how to stay in Singapore while they wait for PR application results? TTTH has student pass during that time, so can stay. For others, LTSVP is necessary :D

STSVP will do, she already no more holding to student pass at that time. Only troublesome part is to renew. But that can be done online.

For those brother's wife who doesnt need to stay in singapore after ROm for eg. honeymoon, there is no need to apply for LTSVP before applying for PR. Assumed that Pr took 4 mths processing. honeymoon, plus STSVP plus online extension will be enough. If still not enough then go down ICA to extend again with marriage cert. The process should be much more easier and faster than LTSVP

Where got everyone like you so lucky, got so much money to go for honeymoon :D after marriage, already broke like shit. The Sha Gua now is different liao le.... marry rich gal make you talk like a rich man also ;) hahahaha

So if apply for STSVP, they give the gal 2 weeks how? renew every 2 weeks? Doesn't make much sense le. And nowadays, there's a limit to how many times the STSVP can be renewed.

STVP when apply online most of the time get 1 mth. furthermore you are applying for your wife, shouldnt be any problem

If the gal is lucky to get 1 month upon entry for ROM and after renewing get another 1 month, that's 2 months only. From my recent experience, STSVP max can only get 2 months total. If want to get 3 months, then must apply for LTSVP. So must go for 2 months honeymoon? Wah, must be very rich to be able to do that. The ICA officers will mostly ask you to apply for LTSVP while you wait for the PR application results. Time flies, people change, situation change. Recent few years, due to large influx of foreigners, immigration policies have changed a lot.
