Maths -

1 nite = 30 bucks (drinks + tips for VB excluding transport, misc, )
1 Week = 7 x 30 = $210.00
1 month = 30 x 30 = $900.00 (conservative estimates w/o going to hotel with VB)
1 year = 12 x 900 = $10,800.00

7 yrs = 7 x 10,800 = $ 75,600.00 divide by USD exchange rate of 1.45 = USD 50k...(think this amount is understated...:p)

Does any bro know a cheaper way to make call to HCMC? I've ony been there twice, not so familiar with it. Gf (not official yet) went back for new year :( , gotta call her.

My brief of story:
Met her at KTV 6 monts back, have been her regular ever since. Kinda like her so asked her out for dinner few times. She asks me to look for her when she goes back, saying will bring me play around, haha. Saw one familiar place mentioned in this post 'Vung Tau' which she says will bring me to, hehe.

This thread is just so useful for us, thanks for all the advice.

1. M1 Pre-Paid Card = Only telco that have cheap IDD call to Vietnam.

2. M1 Post Paid = Subscribe $5 monthly and you enjoy IDD call rate pecked as local call charges.

3. Buy Chat Chat - $7.80 for 105 minutes

4. Buy IDD 001 - $8.30 for 108 minutes.

That's the best option ... and the thread Bro Hurricane99 recommended revolve around this discussion.

Cheapest option which I have used for the past 6 months...www.fring.com...use the fring call...only thing is need wifi phones both sides...oso can do web chat anytime...:)

Can use 'SKYPE' also .....

the only limitation is need either WIFI on good DATA Plan.

use to be using chat chat to control my usage and calling to vn.
I also subscribed to M1 IDD call @ $5 monthly.

Nowadays I simply just pick up my HP and call. Who cares about charges when calling loved ones... :D
average monthly HP bill is about $150 (including data plan and mobile broadband)
IDD call of $500 - $800 all waive off due to $5 IDD subscription
