What's worth more is the piece of land that the building is seating on. Most of these older buildings are lying on land parcels in D1,2,5,10 etc. Its the land that's valuable, not the house. :D

U mentioned land is $ & house is not, I tot Vn (like CN) doesn't own land, only house. All state land. And property gain is capital non-taxable?:confused:

bro, sha gua said that the house in the photo is really run down, so what i meant was that don't care the house being in terrible state, but its the land that is valuable. But newly built houses now are not worthless. If the house is beautiful, both the house and the land are valuable. In Vn, only vietnamese and vietkieu can own land :D

most viets will mortgage the land to the bank and take a loan to built their house. In this way, they need not fork out another sum of money to built house
