Hi guys...

Sorry if I come across as being a rash fool... (didn't exactly make myself clear!)
1 thing I have to emphasize... It's definitely not marriage because of business.

We had planned this for quite awhile and she's even in KL training at the moment.

I had absolutely no idea nor warning that Vietnam does not allow for parental consent forms to be signed.(doesn't state anywhere or could I have missed it?)

Instead of throwing a lavish party, we both decided to put together our savings to start a business together so I'm quite adamant about not letting her down.
We've even aaranged to go to hcmc to get the consent form notarize next monthd and it's thanks to" lament" that I found out that it's no longer allowed... (when all I wanted to do was to find a public notary in hcmc)

This certainly throws a spanner in our works...

Anyway, I may have solved the "problem" already so thanks to the guys here for their input. (especially lament!)

remind me of a case that happen i think more than 10 years ago which come out on paper about a couple being charge for oral sex.most people did not know that it was against the law.but they later change to allow if is between 2 agreed mature adult.but man to man and girl to girl i dont know hahaha,any lawyer here to verify :D

for your info,sg embassy in viet does not do all this things for u even though u hold a sg passport.from what i know,they only certify your sg document is true copy if anyone need to submit their document to viet govertment and there is a fees for that

even viet embassy in sg dont certify or help their viet girl who marry in sg to a sg guy,they more interested in dealing with business or 2 country trade matters

Not a believer of Singapore MLM... they don't use network marketing as a tool... They market network marketing instead...

Be it Singapore, Malaysia , USA, UK or any MLM, I don't believe in MLM at all. MLM is simply a money sourcing theme that benefits the SWM on top and the few country heads. The rest of the gang are mostly hyper youngsters that are ignorant and think that they can make millions thru this scheme. Was forced to go MLM talks some years back, what i saw are bunch and bunch of youngsters shouting on top of their voices, simply a ra-ra show. They come up with fanciful marketing terms, making these youngsters think that they are going into a sophiscated world wide super MNC. After that, they ask these youngsters to come up with cash to buy the products to start. Simply a SWM gimmick. How many of these youngsters really make millions? Make a bit then quickly buy an Audi Convertible to impress the rest so that he can get more people under him, but in fact, he's living off his parents and his bank account is empty every month. What's with a $2500 monthly payment for your Audi when you earn $5000 a month and has no other commitments? No house to pay, no utility bills to pay, all paid for by pitiful parents. Just spend money on fancciful looking clothes, look smart, put up a front. There's no need to show the world how `successful' you are, whether you are succcessful or not, you know it the best.

Hhhahaha, just got a bit carried way. Seen too many irrespeonsible youngsters doing these nowadays. :D

Other mlm in fact you do not need to have a shop but then for the cosway mlm by malaysia group you need to gave a shop front to sell their stuff , the company will Come out with all the necessary $$$$ ... And the operator(s) need to be trained in KL for about 1 week +.

My most recent check with ROM and my friend who works as a vietnamese translator, consent form through lawyers are not allowed except at official government establishments.

I just went back beginning of the year.

I ask my gf to go back to get the consent done and they say no.

I check with ROM of Singapore and they say any consent done from the lawyers will not be entertained. This is verified by my vietnamese translator friend.

Notary public are government appointed senior lawyers that hold powers to notorise documents. Documents issued by Vietnamese government in tieng viet, but translated into English and notarized by notary public are accepted by Singapore government and most government in the world. I have had documents of my wife and children, my business documents etc , notorized by notary public in Vietnam , are accepted by MOM, ICA , MOH etc. Maybe registry of marriage is special, that's why they don't recognize documents notarized by notary public .

I think you got me wrong here.

So long as the consent form was signed in the presence of a government official from the justice department, it will be accepted by ROM. the problem is from what I understand due to high number of teenage brides marrying foreigners, the Vn government put a stop to all vn girls under 21 from going overseas for marriage.

The problem is that when we get the lawyers to act as a witness for the consent form, then ROM will not accept it.

My girlfriend just went back to her province in Phu Tho about 2 hours from Hanoi, to get it done and was rejected.

This is only applicaple to marriages for people under 21 years old.

This is an email reply from the Singapore consulate in vn will do for us.

Please be informed that to register marriage in Vietnam, you may wish to contact the Justice Department in HCMC (if your girlfriend registered her stay in HCMC) or the Province Justice Department (if she stayed in the Province) for the procedure and the required documents. The Consulate is able to help you with the Single Status if needed. For that, you are request to bring the below documents to our office for endorsement:

1. Marriage Search Result - original (can obtain from ROM Singapore, and then legalised by Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs) (US$8);

2. Original Passport - certified true copy (US$3);

3. Divorce Certificate with endorsement from the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (US$8);

4. Statutory Declaration - to be filled up at the counter (US$4).

The list of documents as given in the previous email is only for "Single status" confirmation. For all the other documents such as health certificate, etc., you may wish to do it yourself to submit to the relevant authorities as required.

All the Singapore documents need to be certified by the Singapore MFA in Singapore at Tanglin, Singapore 248163.
