haha. my girl always tease me say the restaurant is expensive when we already sit down :eek: and also i say if no money pay how? she will say, "sell u off la what else?":eek:

the problem with my girl is she has almost zero financial planning knowledge. she will pay and pay until she herself no money left.

most of them dont know how to manage their finance thats why poor become poorer.got money spend first,buy beautiful motorbike,hp and etc.When go eating,just order for the sake of ordering,cannot finish just put there,for the sake of their 'face'

Same same for PRC as well, order tons of food and when I try to finish them, they will ask "You must still be hungry!" and want to order some more. Only when there are unfinished food then they feel satisied.. could be the meaning of 有余。。:D

I think the whole idea here is that they do not live within their means. They always want expensive bikes, expensive mobile phones, no need to work and drink coffee all day. Actually everyone around the world wants to have all these, but is it possible? So when they have the chance to `chop' someone or by all means get the little cash to achieve some of these desires, they quickly get it. After spending the money, they become broke again and have to think of ways to get the cash for daily living . Its a vicious cycle.

Pham Ngu lao is considered to be a place for BROKE foreigners who cannot afford a proper place to stay in HCMC. next time, try other places. I personally do not like Pham Ngu lao and i feel that if you have the money to fly there for a holiday, do at least stay in somewhere that's more proper. :D
