i teach u a easy way, minus off the last 3 zero and u convert to sing dollar

example:15 000 dong change $1 sing
so if 30 000 dong will be $2 sing
20 000 dong will be around $1.30 cents sing

so u minus of the last 3 zero, like that u count easier and not confuse:)

i find that those develop asia country like vietnam, indonesia, cambodia or india like to have a lot of useless zero on their notes.maybe is to impress people that their notes is hundred, thousand or million.

nabei, one USA dollar can 'teh si' their few thousand already haha :D

to be more accurate, US$1 can teh si their twenty thousands liao hahaha... not a few hahaha...

they dun wan ppl call them poor so their 000s help everyone in the country to be millionaire mah

but actually i think... just like bro singviet said.. long time ago... 1-2k is like 10-20k nowadays. if u do the math using DCF method based on their high inflation rate, maybe long time ago 500d can buy a lot of things in vn but not now anymore. that's why it's redundant to have those 000s nowadays. perhaps they should change their notes by omitting the 000s already. i heard indonesia is going to do this.:)

even if there is no high inflation, the average ppl there will still be the same cos corruption is everywhere.inflation only make the people there poorer thats all.anyway they are use to it.

rich will continue to be rich or richer and those poor become poor or poorer cos money will go to those ppl who know how to get money through clean or dirty method:)

TAIPEI (AFP) - A woman cut off her husband's penis with a pair of scissors and threw the severed member into a river in revenge for his affair with another woman and his physical abuse, police in Taiwan said Sunday.

The 30-year-old Vietnamese woman, identified only by her surname, Pan, cut off about half her husband's penis at their home in the southern city of Tainan after he took drugs and sleeping pills and fell asleep, police said.

The woman allegedly claimed she had thrown the severed member of her drug-addicted Taiwanese husband into a river before turning herself in.

'She has been taken into custody on charges of assault,' a police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity.
