35 – Nouns – putting it all together

quantity + classifier + noun + adjective + của + owner

If you need a review, re-read lesson 32 (adjectives and characteristics), lesson 33 (possession – của), and lesson 34 (classifier). Guess what the following phrase is about:

một chiếc áo khoác màu đỏ của cô bé
1 classifier coat red of the little girl

hai cô bạn hay ghen
2 girl friend often jealous

In a sentence or question, all the structures above go together with the noun: subject (noun) + verb + object (noun)

Ba tòa biệt thự ở hồ Tây của bác giá bao nhiêu tiền?
3 classifier mansion in West Lake of you price how much money?
What is the price of your 3 mansions in the West Lake (neighborhood)?

Mỗi tòa biệt thự đó giá một triệu đô
Each (classifier) mansion that price 1 million dollar
Each of those mansion is a million dollar.
