Yes , they will 1st ask you to do a VP extension 1st then after that then do the LTVP application ... So is no problem ...

10 days n above .... U can log into LTVP portal n apply n the system will prompt u do do a VP extension n if u agree, proceed to extend n then continue the LTVP application .

Less than 10 days , system don't allow u to apply LTVP , you have apply to extend VP , once VP approves n paid up, then u can re-login to apply for LTvP.

As a son in-law you cannot escape visiting in-laws for TET unless your marriage is more than 10 years liao...smart move if she goes first and you go back to fetch them back...:p

I had seen several cases that wife brought babies home alone and created a huge stress for them. Babies need plenty of help and best if wife can have another helper while travelling...personally I had helped a few mothers before...:p

hehe...yup..she would be going with my fren's wife first...but i still worry cant handle ..2 ladies with 2 babies...

Its the tradition during TET to gamble day and night. They will always tell you its small money but i have heard of many Viet spouse losing US$3k to US$5k during TET gambling. Husband must bring money back to pay back before they return to Singapore. So always warn your spouse about gambling. I always tell my wife not to tell me its small money, many `small money' will snowball to `big money' . I also tell her, if she gamble away a lot of money, i will not pay for her. i do not allow gambling. ;)
