Hi guys, seldom read this part of the forum until now I am getting married soon with my Vietnamese girlfriend. It was a decision made quite hastily as she is having my child. I need to know if I must get some sort of letter to prove I am single in Singapore? this is what she told me. She say I need the letter then we can register to marry or marry in vn. After that we will do the dinner thing anD stuff...

wah...another kc victim...dun mind me asking the following questions:

1. how do you meet her? and where?
2. Is she a WL eg. working at bars, pubs, ktv...or provide sexual services for $$$
3. how sure are you the baby is yours?
4. are you sure you want to marry her?
5. can you afford to provide for her, baby and her own family (include mother, father, siblings)
6. have you read thru this thread and read the various case studies here which may sound similar to your case...
7. any other info you can share with us...

U can get it from ROM but must pay a small amount.Go check ROM website.After u pay online,they will mail u a copy.It will indicate no record found meaning to say u are single.Bring this letter to vietnam and if necessary translate to a vietnamese copy there which is certify by them.

Tks bro for help. May require more answers for future questions. I will try read the threads before asking unnecessary questions but over 800 pages ah lol.. So far my girl is a tattooist and recommended by a friend wife also from Vietnam, but if u ask me whether I am sure of her working in any of these joints I can say never but I am never 100percent.. But thanks for the concern. :p
