learning vietnamese via sms with the the viet gals really make me crazy...
recently hook a new target and the way she sms is difficult to understand. She dun sms the exect word or short form. It is by 'sound'

Challenging

1) After send her back in the morning, i wish her have a good sleep and dream of me.
reply: Tat nhien e se ngu ngon gi a chuc. a cung zay ngu that ngon nam mo thay e khac nuoc nha. hihi

2) I reply i not tired so not sleeping so soon and i buying breakfast back for parents.
reply: Zay la tot do 60 se ngu ngon ma.

3) I going orchard to see the light up, i sms if she wanna go
reply: cho do dep kg? e cung muon di nua zay e di tam roi KT lai di lien dc hon

4) tonight after sending her home i recieve sms from her.
sms: 60 ngu ngon nha. gio e cung ngu e thax nhuc dau. thu may e ve nha KT choi zay.

5) I sms her that i am sorry I bought a wrong card for her and I just reach home to watch soccer.
reply: hihi KT com com, thi coi 1chuc roi ngu. mai e di muc kg sao dau.

any bro can decode what is zay, hon and 60?
i only know her 'com com' = khung khung

ZAY = VAY

They use Z to replace V.

WHy I can answer this is becuase I just kenna - T7 Chuc A ZUI ZE NHA. IS she 19yrs old??? hehehehehehehehehehehehe

As for "60" I cant help you.but will try...maybe you can go try ask Vietnamlover.

Why must they replace V with Z. :D
Got 1 gal replace I with J is understandable that she is lazy to tap 3 times on the number 4.

funny thing is that she can write khong as kg and hon.

I am not sure what 60 really means. You should ask her what 60 is. You sms her like this 'Em viet 60. 60 - nghia la gi vay?'.

There are a few short forms of 'Khong' such as 'kg', 'ko' and 'hok'.

I am very impress with Bro Vietnam lover for his in dept understanding of the vietnam language. How do you manage to reach this level? I trying to pick up the language for work also but having problems now initially in word by word translation in Vdict. Have to do a word by word look up and sometimes for a same word need to look 8 times over. Is there any other methods? My viet colleague recommend me a website can "Viettrans" (cannot find) and also a PDA software made by "Lacviet"

maestrolik, no need to be so impressed by me. Really, it's no big deal. Well, you just need to preserve and try your best. Since 2004, I chatted online with many and many Vietnamese women and men in Yahoo Messenger. Even now, my contact list totalled to about 150 in my Yahoo Messenger. That is how my Vietnamese language improves. My weakness is that I cannot write with Latin characters. It is not easy to remember how to write Latin characters as you need to remember a lot of times.

If i am not wrong, 60 stands for "Lau Gong" or hubby(we always use this in the days of alphanumeric pager days!!! where 60= lau gong and 68= lau po).....try fitting it into the sentence ...i think it makes sense...

maybe young gals are exposed to more types and styles of msging so they rojak all the styles and use it according to their convenience....talk about vietnamese being hard to learn..now have to deal with the rojak style!!!!:D

an evil idea just came to me!!!!!!!

haha maybe we can snook them back....

we use alphanumeric msging on them....hahahahaha

E.g

68, 60121314

Lau po, lau gong ai ni yi sheng yi shi

68, 60 177155 17

lau po, lau gong miss you (notice how 177 forms 'M') and (notice how 17 forms 'U' when inverted...)


these are the tricks of the olds days where no handphone and only pagers with numbers display..haha

this should make them very confused....like how they use their rojak stuns on us....
