Interesting.

One thing to note: The zodiac sign that is four years younger is supposed to one's 'secret friend'. For whatever that means. So why is it bad?

Not sure where you get those from. But it's totally not accurate at all.
Beside Zodiac, you need to focus in Horoscope compatibility as well. For most accurate result, Ba Zhi, is the most accurate one if you believe in such =)
