Hi samsters,

I start this thread to discuss the following

1. Why nobody is sharing much genuine info nowadays compared to past?
2. Why gang and mass zapping so rampant?
3. Why so many samsters post non-related and out of topic?
4. Why so much fighting in almost all threads?
5. Any other unhappiness to discuss?

The problem isn't the forum. The problem is the people in this forum. :p

I opened up the adult discussions section for any topics based upon numerous requests so that may explain the off topic stuff.

Fighting is human nature. That's why there is always some war going on somewhere in the world.

Gang and mass zapping has been rampant since day one.

I'm not happy with behavior in the forum either. In fact I am sick and tired of it.

My point is simple, when you have people trying to gain upper hand in a certain market or territory then there is fighting?

When a market gets saturated then they try to fight for other markets which remains untapped just like NZ which you move your forum there recently.

Another group is people who are too free and nothing better to do also create problems. These group have too much time and ego always get into them.

Cyber bullying had been in the news recently in every country.

Boss, I think you can try to win by thinking beyond this forum to make these group of people who fight to pay for whatever mess they created.

Just m 2 cents.

You are absolutely right to say problem lies with the nature of people who love fighting.

I just created my account not too long ago, I was shocked to read this guy accused him of these and that guy accused him of that. No end and these arguments just throw the whole thread into chaos.

The attacks are fast and furious with pictures and photos been posted. These actions cannot be condone.

Great reply! Something ought to be down. We cannot just let this forum go down.

Gone are the days whereby we can just share openly the various interesting places and freelancer details. We look forward to read and try out some of the places or freelancers and then post our experiences to share here.

Hardly you can see fighting last long in the past. Nowadays every section and most threads are chaotic.

Mass zapping is done by mostly by clones.

Less sharing of good info? Scared of AV raids.

Plus a lot of fake reports.

Really a cause of concern about clones? What can be done about clones? How to identify clones? Can make forum harder for clones to register?

I can understand that sharing info locally scared AV raids only happened in Singapore and what about sharing of info in other countries?

Fake reports really cannot do anything. OKT are famous for posting fake forums. That is where the points system is supposed to do. Reward good forum and zap untrue forum.

He is the boss and if he had done a good job then he wouldn't be unhappy about the state of affairs in SBF today.

Those were the days where newbies had to earn the points by posting true fr and asked humbly for contacts... Now is so much diff where by points were exchanged and fr were fake to gain to attention...

1) Learn to live with it.

Those fabulous years are gone. I remembered clearly when I wanted to go overseas, I prepare myself reading SBF and searching for places of interests.

Hmm, I can see your point.

Learn to live with it - means we have to create clones so that we can stay afloat or level playing field. If this is the case means we cannot post freely our comment without ganging up.

Don't log in at all - quite true but does that solves SBF problem?

There is no magic formula to solve all the problems of the world and neither is anything going to solve the issues that plague on line forums.

Clones, flame wars etc have been part and parcel of the internet since I started my very first forum way back almost 20 years ago. Some of the members here were not even born and many had yet to grow cock hair.

If there was a solution I would have come up with one by now surely. :o

However one thing that I do know is that any measures taken to tightly control registrations, posts and comments will always spell the death of the community as nobody wants to operate in an environment that resembles a regimented army camp.

I have therefore allowed the forum to evolve on its own with minimum intervention and it has worked reasonably well for 15 years.

I have been asked to be judge and jury on many an occasion but sadly I cannot play this role in a virtual world where it is next to impossible to verify anything.

You guys have to make it work and learn to get along somehow. I am really tired and don't have the energy or the enthusiasm that I had when the internet was in its infancy. I rely on everyone here to keep this forum going.

It has been through many ups and downs. The government has attacked the forum, hackers have attacked the forum, it has been brought almost to its knees by a DDoS attack of a disgruntled OKT that was kicked out and this cost me huge money to defend against and the cost is ongoing.

At the end of the day, it is still just a platform and the collective will of the members along with their financial support is what will determine its fate.

It is actually a very unique piece of Singapore history and it would be sad to see it go down the drain. It has come a long way and still has many unique features. Tell me what other sex forum has an in house doctor to take care of the members' needs. :D

The rules for Premier Membership and Donor could be further refined to allow a level playing field. They should not be immune to be zapped, handful of these members are going around like "gunslinger in a lawless society" and spamming.

Why don't you post in the zap free zone where if they try to zap you, you'll end up with additional points instead. :p

I understand your frustration regarding premium members but if I don't give them something who on earth would want to bother signing up? Very few would do it just out of the kindness of their hearts.

I did thought about posting something irritating in the zap free zone to gain some points, but by now most Samsters are awared of the system and also risk been reported for spamming. Recalled the PM I sent you yesterday for been accused of spamming.

I knew is not rocket science to handle the forum today.

Culture is very important in any community.

Since you provide only platform, can we build a different community whereby we revert back to olden days? Just a suggestion,I am not sure plausible.

We leave out those keen to fight in a different community.

Imagine moderators also get the stick in all the recent debacles. I remembered reading profanities posting blatantly by recalcitrant.

Please do not give up hope! We need you to be strong to weather the haze in SBF.

PSI in SBF only reach 150 and not hazardous yet.

TS i have to disagree with your observation.

from what i observed, i think the problem is caused by a handful of people using their clones accounts to fight amount themselves. Majority of the samsters are still sharing. I have benefited mainly from the video/photos sharing and the steaming story, not to mentioned boss done a good job with the health section too..
to answer your questions

majority are still sharing.

there are protected zone to help with this problem.

3. Why so many samsters post non-related and out of topic?
because the adult discussion section about sex is now Adult Discussions about Anything Under the Sun?
i am not sure if this is a good move by boss.

4. Why so much fighting in almost all threads?
not all threads, but where it happen, it is usually the same group fighting (Johnbass and his rival group) and the now infamous Team SEAJ vs Team 88088. ( no offence intended in naming the groups) just my observation.

5. Any other unhappiness to discuss?
no unhappiness for me, but if i can suggest something than change the Adult Discussions about Anything Under the Sun back to Adult Discussions about Sex and set some rules that clones fighting and trolling will be zapped.

let me add, in older time, there was also fighting among clones, but probably because boss act very fast by zapping those trouble makers and put them to sleep, things cool down pretty fast and does not get out of hand. maybe it is good to bring this method back.

TS, i agree with you that boss should not give up.
samsters should take responsibility and make this place a better place.
restrict the clone fighting to a designated thread, zap them if they go out of the designated thread.
bring back some rules and control ;)

I agree most of the fighting n complaining came from a small group of ppl that have nothing better to do. (Joejoe is one good example)
admin won't be able to do much, those ppl will just keep creating clones.
