Since this thread was started, out of curiosity, will the bros here lend money to another bro that we do not know or meet before ?

I personally will not. Cause what is the guarantee we may have ?

Although I did lend to a reservist friend that we met during the 1st reservist, I still got it bavk within 3-months as promised.

Just to understand the thought of the bros here for a casual discussion.

for me depending on amount. and of course an amount that you can part with. of course $5-$10 people wont post in forum la so i most probably wont encounter lol. to me is like, you willing to give charity help stranger, then just consider another charity helping stranger lor. the person want cheat its his karma.

when u decide to lend money to anyone whether u know him/her or when the person promise u wadever condition, always be prepared that once the money is out, then can be chance that it will never be back to u. otherwise dun lend money to other at all.

Over the years, I loaned more than $50k to friends, relatives and probably get less than 10% back.

Many of them have sad stories. Some of them is because of credit card bills. If they can pay back, why they want to borrow in the first place? Most of the time already quite deep in debt already.

When u plan to lend to someone, just take it as he/ she will not have the means to return. Consider it charity. I see myself as fortunate since I am the giver than receiver
