Just ended an affair of 1 year, very hard to let go. We both know there won't be any outcome in this, but we still proceed and now both of us suffer due to the changes in the relationship and back to strangers. She doesn't want to stay friends, its either together or stranger; 是不是真心爱过就不能做朋友?

Yeah male female if close so hard to be friends sure will fuck 1. Haha just enjoy the moment sometime lor.

We can't always get the closure we want.
Better to have it for a moment than not to ever have it at all.
Give things time to settle down and don't push or expect anything.
We all need some space and time for ourselves.

Just feel like its very hard to let go. Alot of things and places and songs reminds me of her, and now we are like strangers, she just want me out of her life. Haven't been myself at all, haven't been real happy :(

Bro, I too, ended an affair in Jan 2021 with someone that came too late in my life cos she doesn't wanna break up my family. We were together for about 8 months. She's divorced twice and didn't want my wife to go through what she been through.

Till date, almost 3 years, I still can't get over her and I realised, time won't heal. But time will teach u to live with the pain.

Trying to focus more on my family, its still tough. Keep wanting to reach out but yet don't want to make her upset.

The thing is I started going ktvs and clubs when I'm 15-16 years old. And I'm 46 this years. With my 30 years'of chionging, I've encountered all kinda of girls in my life. I dare say none ever gave me the kinda feeling she gave. Something which I never thought I needed. I'm still living with the pain of losing her. But life goes on. Occasionally will look at the photos we took together and reminiscence the time we spent together at her place during covid period.

Find a hobby. Spend more time connecting with your kids.

No right or wrong. Over is bo bian. Will be a memory. We will always wish the best for the ones we love but cannot be together.

Hi bro I am in a similar situation as you. Been chionging for many years, never imagine I would fall for another girl beside my wife. Initially I thought is due to lust, but one year on we are still together. Her character and personality are what attracts me.
Sadly, I know there is no outcome to this relationship. Divorce is too expensive and tedious in Singapore.

Generally speaking yes, and to be honest I don't want to stay friend with my ex, cuz it will slow me down to get rid of this broken relationship. Time will heal, just try to hang out with someone.
