Anyone able to access SBF from shanghai?
 

Wondering if anyone here is able to access SBF from shanghai?
i tried but ended up being blocked or somethin'... i had to resort to VPN back to my home network for access...
any settings i need to know about? proxy don't seem to work that well for me...

i am in shanghai. can surf very well without using VPN. i use VPN for AFF and stuff. LOL

Hi bro,

When I first arrived in Shanghai about 3 years ago, I could not access SBF. I guess it was blocked then.

About a couple of months back, they "unlocked" it. I have been able to get access to SBF. No issues since then.

i am in shanghai now, sammyboy no problem, but need vpn for facebook etc

some hotels block it. I stay at a few hotels and service apartments, sometimes can connect sometimes its block, so i am using vpn now

china all block
youtube, liveleak, sbf and many porn sites too
so better do homework properly before visiting

you can download hotspot shield, free vpn. also allows u to watch hulu.com

anyway no chance because hotspot shield cannot be accessed too...haha

I now in 福建 in a small county.
No problem surfing sbf but many pictures upload sites cannot access unless I route thru vtunnel.
Facebook, youtube, google doc, google apps site, dropbox all blocked.
BT absolutely not block so can download all sorts of porn, movies or mp3 w/o worrying about legality.
PPS is all I need for tv, movies and documentaries.

hmm... okay.. thanks for the info guys... i guess the hotel i'm staying is blocking SBF, facebook... as well as my office... kinda slow thru my VPN thou. not that i'm complaining. heh
