Last year, I bought one at the airport, Terminal 2, and they asked me for my passport. Two years ago, I bought another on Beach Road from a money changer and no ID card required. Good luck!

The money changer where I purchased the SIM card is located on the corner of Middle Road and North Bridge Road, one block west of Beach Road. I think the building is called Nam Peng. If you ask nicely, they might give you a receipt! :D

p.s. You can use these SIMs anyway you like, including cheonging ;)
