Nightlife business not opening anytime soon
 

Anyone got any take on the news that just came out that govt say nightlife business have got to seek alternatives as they dont see them opening anytime soon .... so what will happen

Many will outright close down. Only a very small minority will take the gamble to try and change their business model to become more bistro-like and offer actual food services alongside alcohol and the like.

Government clearly does not give a fuck about nightlife or entertainment in Singapore. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they have a Puritan streak now to really "clean up" Singapore to be ultra-sanitised, safe, and dull. A society just focused on making money and having your own little insular circle of streamed entertainment on Netflix and retail therapy done with e-commerce.

Dark days ahead.
