just realised, in Manila, the plain white taxis are owner-operated and can ask any fare ..

those with colours are company owned, with drivers on a fixed pay... and are less ruthless /lethal ..

lesson of the day for those heading to Manila ..

Pasay to Malate - ended up with 400 peso fare, as 4 AM, no choice .. and all don't want to run meter ..
