It is the social responsibility of the press to remind both ignorant and sincere Singaporean men to tread the Wetnam relationship path with caution.
Furthermore, thesundaytimes even mentioned that the issue of Vietnamese women and their short-lived marriages have been reported in Vietnam itself. This renders a certain degree of objectivity in the newspaper report and not just simply a one-sided VB-bashing.
Besides hearing from many cheongsters' sharing in this forum, we are getting the picture from the Singapore lawyers who have experiences working directly on the marriage annulment cases.
With new initiatives aimed at transnational marriages, hopefully we will see genuine relationships between Singaporean men and Vietnamese women prevailing more in the long run.
