It doesn't have to be exactly 48hours...usually I go back batam 0940 the first day and back to SG n reach at 1840hrs 2nd day...so that's only like 34hrs, as long you spend 2 days/different arrival return date,its OK. The DFS counter never ask me how many hours I been away,they only ask me to present my passport and show them when making payments.
But there's one case where my bags n belongings were check by the AntiVice/immigration near the exit door,they ask about my liquor, I juz told them I thought 48 hrs = 2 days...they juz let me go
