Like if a tourist ask you is Singapore safe? Are you to give a long statistic of how many criminal cases in Singapore compared to all world countries, then you give ur opinions that based on these you say Singapore is safe or unsafe?

But I do appreciate you wrote "In general Uber, Vinasun and Malinh are safe." For that I thank you
I am a newbie so don't Duduct my points. Years back I was almost cheated riding on a cyclo. I just walked back to the hotel while my friends were arguing why they needed to pay extra. I brought the hotel bellhop with me and told him to call the police. The cyclo drivers grudging decided to quickly settle for less.

If u want to use über then go to the setting and look for the latest features in their apps : chose a female driver. Chose age range 19-24. Language - English.
My wish list is still ' do u wish to be raped by your driver' button. Trust me, they will work to improve the apps.

Is Vietnam safe? Oh yes. Will taxi drivers ripe you off? Will the local carrot-chop the tourists? How can we answer these questions with certainly? I don't have all the answers n neither will anyone else. Confronted with new situations, old location or old situations in new locations or .... The permutations of risk propensity goes on. My take is this : be careful and don't throw caution out with the wind. But don't be overly cautious that u can't try new things. There are merits and also disadvantages of a guided trip. But being on solo is not to bad at all. The trick is to find a balance in it all. If you think you are clever, your hubris will do u in. Most here will ask you to come in here with a measure of humility. For me, I have been a silent reader for the longest time here and sometimes my comments overstays it's welcome. So, I suck it up and try to make my next trip and yet another next trip a memorable one. Some days I feel old and tired. Others days I try to squeeze out another extra bullet to make it a bang for buck 'experience'. I say just define your goal each time and not forget to put in a trip report once in a while. So that we can celebrate your journey. Even if someone duduct your points, be happy to know your trip enjoyment has not diminished, especially when you look back with glee you have accomplished your mission. Have fun n be safe bro.
