Thanks for the heads up on the noticeable increased crime rate in Batam too. When i flipped thru the Sillypore's paper over the weeks,i see no lesser crime in Sillypore as compare to Batam. (the other side of the coin is it could have gone unreported) I also notice in Batam,most of the victims in crime involve their local more than foreigners.

For online booking currently for budget bros,the new city central(near formosa can walk to nagoya)hotel. Is 150k per night non smoking...next cheaper would be pagoda 170k(behind dc mall,lots of msg house,behind is marine live seafood)
