Another example is if you notice the Chinese in Johor bahru usually speak mandarin like spore Chinese.
But in kuala lumpur & Ipoh the Chinese tend to talk in Cantonese.
And further north in Penang the Chinese converse in hokkien.
The reason is simple Johor Bahru is in close proximity to spore therefore can receive spore TV channels but not for KL and Penang ..
