Personally i prefer a smaller place whereby i dont need to spend much time on transport and travelling. in ac most of the things are within walking distance from the hotel, eat drink fuck and even movie
i cant comment on whether outside city is more happening... but its definitely cheaper!
tigerair and cebuair fly direct between sg-clark. will cost below $150 if you catch a good promo. also, transfer between clark and the hotel is only less than 15mins by car.
