Thermae

I was in BKK a few weeks back, and stayed very close to Thermae (Ruamchitt + Manhattan) for 4 nights, so i visited Thermae very often to check out stocks, at various times throughout the night. Lots has already been said about Thermae, so i'll give my general impressions.

Positives
- Usually lots of girls to choose from, although mostly SYT types
- Average looks 5-7/10
- girls typically lower mileage
- Non-aggressive atmosphere, take your time to choose
- No need to buy LDs for girls
- Open at 8pm, but peak time is 10pm-1am, even at closing time (2-3am) still girls

Negatives
- Overpriced for the average quality of girls
- Difficult to negotiate prices, due to 'gang' mentality of the girls, and years of Japs overpaying, make them think they are well worth std pricing
- Difficult to sit girls down and chat to see if they are a 'fit', need to basically choose based on looks and quick conversation while they are standing.
- Very crowded. If you go around 10pm or later, customers are standing, the # of customers have re-enforced girls mentality that they will find a customer willing to meet their price
- Difficult to gauge the body of the girls (for boob lovers). Usually wear loose fitting casual dresses or tops which hide their bodies, so you don't know what you are getting until they are naked. If you like big boobs, very few choices, and can't tell if they are real or fake (most likely fake though)
- Girls generally seemed to be strictly transactional, and not wanting to chit chat or build up chemistry. Business only mentality

Tips
- If you go through the back door, you can avoid the drink fee. If a waiter approach you, just say you already bought one.
- If you want to negotiate price with the girl, better to pull her away from her friends and chat with her. Girls don't want to lower the colluded 2500/5000 price in front of their friends. Remember to smile and act friendly.
- If you are into ST, best to book right upstairs at Ruamchitt, or a very close hotel (Sofitel, S15, Manhattan, etc..) as girls more willing to go and accept lower price if your hotel is close, so they can return back to Thermae after.
- If you book a nearby hotel, you can always walk through Thermae on your way out/back to other places, to periodically check out stocks to see if any gers give you a boner. Stocks change every 30 min or so. In 4 nights i only take 2 gers there (not great for booblovers when i went).

Conclusion
My opinion is that Thermae has become diluted and overpriced due to the hordes of overpaying Japs that have paid these whores like they are supermodels, and as a result these girls think they are more valuable than they are worth. Most of the gers there very average looking office types, but still demand 2500/5000 which is too much for an average looking freelancer. I saw more attractive milfs and busty girls at MPs like Posseidon for only 2600ST, and i am 100% sure they would give better service as well. At 2500/5000, the value is not there, and i would rather spend slightly more at a Gogo like Baccara or Rainbow, where just for a bit more money , i can see their bodies (naked or in a bikini), and sit them down and chat with them first, before i decide to take them. The cost there is just 600BF + 2500/5000, so its worth the additional 600 baht for the better looking girl/body and ability to chat with them first.

I would not make Thermae my primary source in BKK. However, i think it was a good idea to get a hotel near Thermae, so i could peek inside on my way to/back from Nana or SC, just to see if any particular girls gave me a hard-on.
