Not all of such devices works for every kind of sim card in different countries.

Yes,i do have one in Singapore,but i checked with the starhub tech guy and he tells me that i cannot use the one i have in Indonesia,nor can i use a Singtel sim card on a starhub device (i believe there is some control over rivalry companies,hehehe..). The staff/s of Andromax booth told me about the same too.
I have not try it on my andromax yet tho,reason is simple...the device is meant to be use in Surabaya,Medan and other parts of Indoneisa beside just Batam. i dont want to risk my Singapore sim card being charge oversea data roaming,hehehe...
My best bet would be,
ALWAYS check with the sim card vendor in any respective country and have the device tested on the spot. Its easy to check,just pull old sim card out insert new sim card in,if it works,i pay,otherwise i wont wanna pay a dime for what i cannot use.
Another thing about AndroMax,it doesnt works in all cities of Indonesia. Only certain major cities. Thats what i read and was told by the staffs.
Andromax is also connected to my computer's USB port becos i dont exactly trust wifi very much. Apply to hotel/s i stayed in as i try to connect via wall-mounted LAN connection. Its what i often did in Batam hotels.
What i am still seeking now in batam is,unlimited usage of data at a justifiable price. Thereafter new game in Batam will soon start,hehehe...
