I had problems too, when I was there last time in December.
The wifi was good and fast, but the login system is so troublesome.
You are redirected to a landing page, the id/pw must be changed every day, one single id/pw valid per each device, and half of the id/pw they gave me didn't work.
I requested tjhem to give me a block of new credentials, which I kept in room. Every day, I was consuming 3-4 new ones (1 for the laptop, 1 for the phone, a couple not valid), until I got tired. See below.

Exactly. I stopped using Formosa wifi and I then used only my mobile wifi router 24/24, in my room or outside. The speed was high (4G) and the data plan was huge enough to not make me worry to finish the quota (15GB).

The only thing I do not understand is why you insist on connecting your Andromax to your USB port!
Connect BOTH your phone AND your laptop to the wifi interface of your Andromax! You can connect up to 10 (or maybe more) devices.
