I see,i thought for a while if it is becos its a bit cheaper,hence you went to that Pharmacy opposite Instar. Then again,the meds there are getting higher in price once every few months. My boss whom i bought the meds for told me maybe it is becos i bought too much too man,to the extend they often ran out of stock,hehehe... there's also a doctor there too.
JB however is about 15% to 20% cheaper than Batam but its cheaper than Singapore by 30% to 40% (depending on the kind and type of drugs). i am referring to originals and not generic kind. Po Chi pills (for diarrhea) is one good example...Batam is selling cheaper by at least 20% in most stores.

Yes,Indonesia seems to produce quite a big quantity of different generic drugs. And those were the REALLY cheap ones. S$10 to S$15,can actually buy them in box of hundreds (per kind of meds),hehehe...
