Today an old friend called me out of the blue and told me this story.......
He met a PRC in 2004 whilst she was a student here and doing FL.......
They became an item and were contemplating of marriage.......
Unfortunately, the PRC was arrested in a raid..... She was not charged but her student pass was cancelled.... and she was deported (with a stamp on her passport that she could not come back within a year)(Guess ICA din't have concrete evidence)..........
He went to China and they were married......
He went to Beijing Sg Embassy and surprisely they gave her the visa to travel to Sg even though there was a banned stamp on her passport........
They came back here and no problem with the ICA at Changi Airport..........
They registered the marriage in Sg and he tried to apply LT social visit pass and ....... she was arrested on the spot at ICA Lavender.........
Immediately ICA charged her and she was sentenced to 14 months jail term ........
