Both are pretty well aware of the things they are doing and right now it is up to the authorites to decide on the outcome of this matter.To simply ignore what are the rules and policies, they are just simply digging their own graves. Yes, they deserve to be pity but ten months of pregnancy and yet no actions taken spells otherwise.
