Make sure you cover all angles, just in case. For me, I applied for the PR after she got pregnant, after we got a HDB flat and all viet documents translated into English. The last thing is a letter from the MP.

I am one of the lucky ones. But now come to think of it hor, whether got PR or not makes no difference. Unless she want to work in SG, or you want to get concession when buying a flat.
